Life Fighters gaffer Agnus Elemu applauded his players for a superb performance in their 4-3 win over Tigers during Sunday’s Debmarine Premiership clash at the SKW stadium in the capital. A brace by Eliakim Jamba Jackson, and two more goals from Lazarus Naruseb and Alex Musinga ensured the Otjiwarongo-based Fighters forced three vital points away from home in their 4-3 win. Itamunua Keimuine, Natangwe Petrus and Shane Van Wyk were on target for Tigers. The match was one of two matches played over the weekend after most of the games were postponed.
Speaking after the match, Elemu said it was a tough match, as Tigers refused to be run down that easily, saying the biggest takeaway from the game was the three points they collected on the day.
“I told the boys to be ready because one thing I knew was that Tigers were not going to give up, as they kept pushing – no matter how much pressure we applied. I told the boys to keep pressing, as the game was getting intense. We knew we needed to collect maximum points, and the boys made sure that points were collected as we sealed a 4-3 win away from home. I’m happy,” he said Meanwhile, on Saturday in Okahandja, Mighty Gunners and Okahandja United played to a 2-all draw in an exciting stalemate.
