By Frederick Philander WINDHOEK Everyone who attended a meeting last week with the Namibia Film Commission (NFC), was under the impression that the meeting was a great success. “We were given copies of the draft criteria to go through and report back to the Commission and FAN will make a formal application to the ministry for assistance to set up an office. There were a few other issues discussed, which we will address in a full report,” states a notice from the Filmmakers Association of Namibia (FAN) to its members. It continues: “Once again the Board would like to thank everyone for their assistance in getting our foot in the door, so to speak; it is now up to the members to keep this ball rolling and to increase the membership. A date to be put in your diary for the next FAN meeting is the 19th of April, where we will discuss our findings.” The notice goes on to encourage the members to increase the membership at this meeting.
