Helena Nesto, a financial guru, is set to host a financial literacy workshop aimed at empowering the youth to make informed financial decisions during the upcoming festive season.
The workshop, scheduled for 7 December in Windhoek, will provide attendees with practical tools and strategies to manage their finances effectively.
It will explore crucial topics such as budgeting, saving, and investing. Participants can expect to learn how to create and review budgets, set financial goals, and explore various investment opportunities.
Nesto will also share tips on how to navigate the holiday season without compromising long-term financial stability.
“The goal of this workshop is to equip young people with the knowledge and skills they need to make sound financial choices. By understanding the basics of budgeting, saving, and investing, attendees can avoid unnecessary debt and build a strong financial foundation,” she said.
The session is open to the public, with tickets priced at N$300 per person.
With her passion and love for helping others, Nesto helps to educate fellow youth on the importance of financial literacy, as she strongly believes that having the right knowledge about your finances will help you build a better financial lifestyle.
She added that she is an active youth who takes up any opportunity that comes to her. She truly lives by her words: “We grow by lifting others up”, as she serves and provides help wherever she needs to.
“For the past years, I have seen how people borrow money from cash loans and pay with interest and that interest affects their budget for three months.
Therefore, this workshop will educate fellow youths and adults how they can stick to their budget without spending unnecessarily,” she said.
She added that most people do not know how to manage their finances, which can be very dangerous, especially during the festive season.
