Home Time Out Floritha’s concert shifted

WINDHOEK-Floritha’s live concert which was supposed to take place last Saturday at the Warehouse Theatre has been postponed to September 20.

One of the organisers of the show, Ernst Herma, says the concert has been shifted for organisational reasons related to the preparation of the event. “One of the instrumentalists who had been committed decided to take part in a different project and we had to find a replacement half way through rehearsals – that is when we decided to postpone the show for one week,” says Herma. He adds that Floritha is currently hard at work to transpose the hits from her first and second album such as Mr Damn Good Liar, I Owe It All To You and Love Don’t, Don’t Judge, Ndimenenge and Queen of The Night into live arrangements performed by a seven piece band at the show.

“In the line up programme are Inna Goroh on drums, Wilfried Kisting and Alphie Witbooi on keyboards, Henry Engelbrecht on Guitar, Wayne Mhlanga on Bass and Mpho Heita and Joaqui Paulus on backing vocals. Wilfried Kisting will also acts as the musical director. The classical and jazz violinist Jesus Lasso and saxophonist Jacus Krige are thrown into the fray as guest artists,” he says.

With two ‘best’ RnB awards under her belt, Floritha certainly she displays star quality in her genres. The live music project Floritha Don’t Judge aims to present fourteen hits from both of her CDs in a live band context – with the aspiration to launch a performance unit that will shine at festivals and functions locally and internationally.
