WINDHOEK – Black Africa’s main sponsor FNB Namibia, has offered the undisputed Namibian champions a welcome shot in the arm with the injection of N$100 000 for the team’s participation in the Orange CAF Champions League first leg match against Kaizer Chiefs next weekend.
The encounter will take place on Saturday, February 08, at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, near Soweto. FNB Executive for Retail and Business Banking Ester Kali, said they are proud to be associated with the Namibian champions and believes the N$100 000 cash injection will go a long way in furthering the growth of brand Black Africa, not only in Namibia but on the African continent.
According to Kali the smart partnership between the two parties, which started 5-years ago has seen BA maturing into worthy champions, winning the league title 3-years in a row and the feat makes for excellent returns on the bank’s investment.
She expressed the hope that BA will give Kaizer Chiefs a good run for their money and called on all Namibians to rally behind the Namibian champions.
Black Africa’s Cassius Moetie accepted the N$100 000 sponsorship from FNB on behalf of the club.
“We are not flying all the way from the Land of the Brave to Gauteng to participate, we will go there to compete seriously and we will make a strong and bold statement at the FNB Stadium and therefore invite all Namibians to take up the special offer of the N$3 400 return flight to Johannesburg, which BA has negotiated to fly local football-lovers to support BA, which will be representing Namibia in South Africa.”
The special offer is for the morning flight on Saturday, February 08 to watch the game at 20h00 that evening and to fly back on the morning flight on Sunday or Monday, February 10.
