Fond Remembrances

Home Archived Fond Remembrances

Today, a year ago, the untimely passing on robbed Namibia of Dr Mose Penani Tjitendero, the first and longest serving Speaker of our National Assembly. His hallowed earthly home has become Heroes Acre. We will always remember and venerate his outstanding leadership and sterling contributions to the liberation struggle, the constitution-making process, the establishment of the Republic of Namibia and service in this House. While we cannot have engaging debates, exchanges on issues of public interest and outreach activities together in our rural communities and urban poverty areas, fond remembrances will forever endure. We honour you and we salute you, Hon Speaker. May your soul rest in peace. Hon Dr Theo-Ben Gurirab, MP Speaker of the National Assembly
