Football wonder boy says no to racism

Home Sports Football wonder boy says no to racism

WINDHOEK – He not only makes headlines on the football pitch but Namibia’s football wunderkind Uno Hinda has now joined the chorus of footballers around the globe advocating for zero tolerance of racism in sports.

The highly gifted left-footed youngster is currently on the books of Germany’s lower division campaigners SC Ludwigstahl where he has captured the imagination of fellow team-mates and the club’s followers with splendid performances during his short stint with the German amateurs.
Uno netted a gem of a goal in his team’s 4-0 win of SG Medelsheim-Brenschelbach to give his side a well-deserved lead in the 11th minute with further strikes by Kevin Potrino and Tobias Masyk (2) completing the riot.
The electrifying Namibian winger has been a revelation for the German side ever since he joined the club recently. Off the field, the youngster has been quite active and vocal in fighting the accelerating evils of racism in football, notably in Europe’s top leagues.
Hinda, who was destined to follow in his old man’s footsteps in the field of legal matters returns to his native land today. He hopes to sweet-talk his academically driven parents into allowing him to put aside his studies, at least for the time being, to live his lifetime dream of playing professional football at the highest level.
