The Franco Namibia Cultural Centre (FNCC) is tonight presenting the fourth Acoustic Friday featuring the Formula Band at the FNCC Terrace.
Founded in 2004, the Formula Band is an ensemble of deep-rooted musical prowess led by Tulonga Wahengo. Core to the band is that their music is based on traditional songs reinvented with modern instrumentation. Band Manager, Aurelie Zannier-Wahengo , says the band will perform songs from the band’s first album and the new album, MeloFrica. They will also perform new songs that are not recorded and some of TateKwela’s songs,” she notes.
Zannier-Wahengo promises fans and music lovers an exciting night with singer and rythmic guitarist Tulonga Wahengo, drummer Nafidi Wahengo, lead guitarist, Bizaz, Bassist and Alexandre Raugel. The Formula Band worked with countless artists from different nations who positively contributed and influenced a variety of flavours to the band’s music. Tickets are N$50 in advance and at the N$70 door and the show starts at 20h00.
