Bursting with colour, culture and captivating scenery, the Miss Namibia 2025 excursion is a highlight of the competition, an unforgettable journey that celebrates Namibia’s breathtaking beauty and rich heritage.
This year, the Top 10 finalists were treated to the majestic Ruacana Falls, a natural wonder and proud gem of the mighty Kunene region.
After lighting up Windhoek for long, moving to Swakopmund, and Lüderitz recently, the competition is turning up the excitement of pageantry with a fresh new chapter, this time being hosted in the vibrant heart of Ongwediva, Oshana in July.
“Their adventure didn’t stop there—they immersed themselves in the traditions of the OvaHimba and OvaZemba tribes, experiencing everything from fire-making and herbal medicine to the rhythmic beat of traditional drums and the artistry of pottery, weaving and local cuisine. It was a vibrant celebration of Namibia’s soul, shared with the nation and the world,” said Beaulah Boois-Beukes, NBC’s public relations’ manager.
She stated that the team will be making their way to various open markets in Outapi, Ondangwa, Ongwediva and surrounding areas, having meet-and-greets with community members, and visiting and shooting at the 2000 plus year-old Baobab Tree.
“From Outapi to Etosha, the Top 10 finalists will get to experience nature at its best with a game drive through the park that will provide an elevated view of the spectacular landscape and abundant wildlife,” she noted.
Boois-Beukes added that the team will then travel to Ondangwa to visit the King and Queen of Ondonga at the Royal Palace. Queen Adelheid Nangolo and Omukwaniilwa (King) Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangolo will open their traditional kingdom to the Top 10.
“With Queen Adelheid Nangolo serving as this year’s patron, she will take the finalists through the kingdom, explain traditional attire to them, and share her experiences and wisdom with them on cultural norms and values.
As an organisation committed to driving social change, the excursion will also highlight Debmarine Namibia’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
These include the Ogongo Campus’ Annual Rice Harvest, the Unam rice cultivation and poultry project, the donation of haemodialysis machines to Oshakati Hospital, and support for premature babies at Oshikoto hospital.
“Thereafter, the excursion will close off at Abanab Lodge, where the finalists will experience all sorts of activities offered at the lodge, including mountain hiking, guided walks, open-pit visits and zip lining.
The Miss Namibia Organisation prides itself and stands firm on bringing the beauty of Namibia to the people,” she continued.
