GIPF hosts pre-retirement workshops

The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) is hosting a three-day pre-retirement workshop for its Windhoek-based members.

The workshops commenced on Tuesday and ended yesterday at the Namibian Institute of Public Administration and Management (Nipam).

The targeted member engagement provided an opportunity for all GIPF members, aged between 50-59, to receive valuable information on topical fund-related issues, such as an overview of benefits and rules, normal age retirement, early age retirement, late age retirement and individual consultations for members who require member specific assistance and information.

The workshops provided attendees with information from key stakeholders, such as the Namibia Revenue Agency (Namra) and the Public Service Medical Aid Scheme (Psemas), providing attendees with a holistic engagement on all information required for retirement.

The event was for members of the fund
and particularly employees from government, regional councils and GIPF participating institutions.
