Going tough for Flying FC in futsal league

Flying V FC’s struggles in the Futsal Premier League continued as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Ragazzi FC in an exciting match at the Windhoek Showgrounds on Saturday.

Flying V FC remains winless after 10 games this season, with their latest loss keeping them at anchoring the log standings with zero points. The struggling side has scored just 11 goals while conceding 49, highlighting their defensive and offensive challenges.

Speaking after the match, Flying V FC’s coach Zak Ragazzi, acknowledged his team’s ongoing difficulties but attributed their poor performance to several factors, including inexperience and logistical challenges. Zak Ragazzi was once associated with Ragazzi FC.

“I believe we have done well despite the results. I started this team years ago, but since joining the futsal league, we have struggled to secure players. Many of them live in Katutura, making it difficult to train together consistently,” he said.

“Our squad is made up of young and inexperienced players who are still adapting to the league. However, we are working hard to build a strong team that can eventually compete at the top level,” he added.

Meanwhile, league coordinator, David David expressed excitement about the return of the league, saying this season promises intense competition.

“I’m happy with how the teams have conducted themselves on the court. The players are showing great hunger and are setting personal goals, which will make the competition even tougher,” he said.
