WINDHOEK – A man allegedly damaged the goods of his girlfriend after he allegedly found her having sex with another man in Windhoek North.

Links Lauzano Rammington, 23, appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court yesterday facing a charge of malicious damage to property read with the Domestic Violence Act 4/2003.

He was arrested on Monday.

His 23-year-old girlfriend, Monica Schrader, made a case against Rammington. She indicated in a statement, handed over in court that the accused is her ex-boyfriend and does not object to him being granted bail.

“But I want the court of law to warn him very seriously not to come to my place or whatever. I do not want him to do this to me anymore, but I want him to pay back my things which he damaged,” the victim wrote.

New Era could not establish what was damaged, but Rammington allegedly damaged the things he bought for Schrader, the mother of his child.

He indicated he will conduct his own defence.

He further indicated he will plead not guilty to the charge.

The matter was remanded to January 12, 2015, for further police investigations.

Rammington was granted bail of N$1 000.

Magistrate Justine Asino presided, while Tatelo Lusepani represented the state.
