Startling figures showing the extent of child labour prevalence in Namibia have prompted the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare to call for an urgent first- ever national conference that will address the problem.
The conference, to be held under the theme “Take the Challenge of Child Labour”, will take place on January 29 to 30.
A survey whose content will be released during the conference shows that child labour is rife in the country.
