GWM C20R a Show stopper

Home Front Page News GWM C20R a Show stopper

THE early bird catches the worm as they say, and grabbing everyone’s attention at the start of the much anticipated Windhoek Show, was Pupkewitz GWM which launched their super fashionable C2OR GWM hot hatch on last Friday morning.

Since the Windhoek Agriculture Show has for years traditionally been the showcase for new vehicle trends, exhibited by a growing dealership presence, unveilings, launches and exciting newcomers to the Namibian market –  the hoards of show goers who flocked through the gates were in for a treat this year.

GWM Pupkewitz took the opportunity to lift the lid off their town trendy C20R, which in any one’s language is the cutest yet most sophisticated style icon to make its debut on the luxury compact vehicle segment. And certainly something for GWM to brag about.

With high ground clearance, 16” Alloy wheels, standard roof rails, black wheel-arch mouldings and SUV style inspired, the C20R stands out in a crowd with cheeky looks, and an attitude that can tackle the rough and tumble of city streets as well as gravel roads to the week-end getaway.

Climb inside the cabin, and you’ll fall in love with the racy red and black leather seats, luxurious and spacious interior which is packed with creature comforts. Features include air conditioning, electric power steering, electric windows, mirror adjustments, remote audio controls, height adjustable headlamps, rear-park assist and a radio /CD/MP3 sound system with auxiliary and USB inputs and alarm immobiliser as part of the package.

The vehicle offers car buyers an exciting new cross over-themed option in the compact hatchback segment, with big-car safety technologies, including standard dual front airbags, ABS with EBD (emergency brake force), rear park assist, seat belt reminder, rear door child locks and front and rear fog lamps.

A wide rear hatch door opens up to a generous loading space, which can be further increased by the split folding rear seats, or if you have rear passengers and still need boot room, the seats can be moved up a notch to accommodate both.

The new offering comes with a range of exciting colours which include Fashion Orange, Ocean Blue, Maple Red, Pearl Black, Sky Silver and Titanium White.

The GWM C2OR is powered by a lively 1,5-litre petrol engine with variable-valve timing (VVT) powers, pushing out 77kW @ 6 000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque. Gearshift is a five-speed manual.  The C2OR is the first GWM vehicle to be offered with a 3-year/45,000 kilometre service plan and its retail price is set at N$167, 000 VAT incl.

Pupkewitz GWM currently boasts more than five retail outlets and 15 service centres throughout Namibia.
