The Judicial Service Commission has announced the appointments of acting judges to the high court by President Hage Geingob, on recommendation of the commission yesterday.

Anne-Doris Hans-Kaumbi has been appointed as a new acting judge of the high court, and will serve for the period 15 June to 31 August 2022. Kaumbi is a legal practitioner in private practice, and was admitted to the High Court in 2003. The University of Namibia (Unam) graduate has served as a councillor of the Law Society of Namibia, board member of the National Qualifications Authority of Namibia (NQA) and formerly served as a board member of the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN).

Collins Parker’s term as acting judge of the high court has also been extended from 15 June 2022 to 31 March 2023. Parker has served as a judge in Namibia since 2006. 

David C Munsu and Erich E Kesslau’s terms as acting judges have been extended, and are to take effect from 16 July 2022 to 31 March 2023.
