Art lovers are in for a treat when the Happy Art Hour show featuring art performers   Lynette Diergaardt and Kirsten Weschlberger kick-off tonight at the National Art Gallery of Namibia (NAGN).

Audience will experience a live DJ Set and live art performances, weaving demonstration by fiber artist Diergaardt and an interactive artwork by visual artist Kirsten. Lynette says she will perform three different demonstrations on how to do basic weaving on a frame loom. “All the techniques are fairly new to the Namibian audience but I will let them decide if it’s new to them or not. The demos will also invite the audience to take part and try the techniques for themselves,” she explains.

Lynette urges art lover and lovers of her work to come out and enjoy the night with them.  “It’s going to be a good time to interact with and ask as many questions about the artwork from the artists who made them,” says Diergaardt.

Meanwhile it’s going to be a play night for Kirsten as they will have to participate in one of two games she is going to present. “The two games are both geared towards questioning human rights, marginalisation, stratification and peoples own journeys in life,” says she adding that both games are to create awareness and make people think about topics around human rights and its extreme opposites.  Tickets are N$ 20 with two free drinks and the show starts at 17h00 to 19h30.
