The under-secretary of Formal Education in the Ministry of Education is to officially open the HIV/AIDS Awareness Week this morning at the Mariental Sports Grounds at the town.
Alfred Ilukena will be the keynote speaker at the event which starts at 08h00.
The mayor of Mariental, Paulina Beukes, and the Namibia Teachers Union’s (NANTU) Alex Kamburute will both deliver speeches. Traditional dance per-
formances will be delivered by the Trans-Kalahari Cultural Group and the
Empelheim Junior Secon-dary School.
