Hotto foundation, GAC and NTB strengthen ties

The Deon Hotto Foundation recently received a major boost, securing over N$300 000 to assist with the completion of various sport facilities.

In a statement released by the foundation, it revealed that they have partnered with Walvis Bay-based company GAC Investments CC.

The foundation stated that representatives of GAC Investments travelled to Johannesburg, South Africa, where they met with officials from the Deon Hotto Foundation to finalise the signing of a partnership agreement.

GAC Investments donated over N$300 000, which will be used to develop new sports infrastructure.

Last year, the foundation announced plans to build state-of-the-art facilities to enhance sports development in Swakopmund and across Namibia.

“GAC Investments CC handed over N$300 000 to the foundation for a period of three years to support the development of sports and football facilities in Swakopmund and its initiatives,” the statement reads. In addition to the financial support, Hotto has signed a partnership deal with the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) as their new sport brand ambassador.

“Since he is currently based in South Africa, playing for Orlando Pirates and Namibia’s national senior men’s team, South Africa is a key market for NTB. Aligning with the foundation benefits both parties. All proceeds from this partnership will go to the foundation,” the statement added.
