Without wasting much time, South African pugilist Thomas Mokwena yesterday made it vividly clear that his plans for Paulus ‘Hitman’ Moses tomorrow night are very straightforward: to break the Namibian’s ribs and punish him severely.
Speaking at yesterday’s press conference in the capital ahead of Saturday’s No Mercy Part 5 boxing bonanza slated for the Windhoek Country Club, Mokwena who will face Namibia’s former WBA world champion Moses for the WBO Africa Lightweight title, promised to deliver a boxing masterpiece.

“The last time I was here our fight did not conclude as planned, because Hitman was so scared of me that he head-butted me, but this time I’m serious. It’s a rematch and I really don’t want to talk too much, because on Saturday I will be talking with my fists. I will prove that I can punch. I am going to break Hitman’s ribs,” Mokwena cautioned.

An excited Moses, who was evidently raring to go, refused to be drawn too much into the usual trash-talking of boxers, but promised to pick up where he left off in their last meeting and put the debate to bed with a stylish victory against the vocal South African.
“My fans should just come out in numbers and witness first-hand one of my biggest fights. I will make you proud, as the plan is to finish the fight in a fair and convincing manner. I’ve heard threats such as those of Mokwena, but come tomorrow we will see who the man will be,” said a calm and collected Hitman.

Moses and Mokwena last fought on June 11, but their fight was declared a ‘no contest’ due to an accidental head-butt that left the South African with an open cut on his forehead.

Also featuring on the mouth-watering menu on the night will be Imms ‘Prince’ Naidjala, who faces Fadhili Majiha from Tanzania for the WBO Africa Intercontinental bantamweight title fight, while Julius ‘Blue Machine’ Indongo takes on Fabian Lyimo of Tanzania in their WBO Africa Jnr Welterweight title bout.

Jeremiah ‘No Respect’ Nakathila will confront Jasper Seroka from South Africa for the WBO Africa Junior Lightweight title, while Walter Kautondokwa confronts his namesake, Walter Dlamini from South Africa, for the vacant WBO Africa Middleweight title.

Tickets to the No Mercy Part 5 boxing bonanza at Windhoek Country Club on August 6 are available from Computicket outlets. General tickets cost N$300, while VVIP tables for 10 are going for N$10 000.
