Feel renewed with Synthetically Natural hair

Offering something that comes with quality at a budget-friendly price is the motto behind Synthetically Natural.

Anna Andreas has decided to explore her creativity after developing an instant passion for wig-making.

“Growing up, I always knew I had a creative hand. I knew there was so much I could do with my hands – whether it was drawing or designing. However, I never thought I would be making wigs until I developed an instant passion for wig-making after receiving a few compliments from my colleagues at work,” said the 28-year-old.

The market is full of Brazilian hair wig makers, so she decided to bring in a twist to accommodate everyone in any sector.

Synthetically Natural was established in June 2021, and a branch was officially opened in Walvis Bay in November 2022.

According to its founder, the business’ achievements include creating job opportunities; providing quality, affordable products; gaining returning clients as well as offering training to enhance people's skills, enabling them to start their businesses and create job opportunities in the private sector.

The Synthetically Natural business has grown beyond expectation, as it started with Andreas as a sole trader after resigning from her full-time job as a general worker.

She has since recruited four employees within five months.

“Our initial monthly figures ranged from three to four, but now we are officially chasing six figures monthly,” she enthused.

It was difficult to get clients because her primary clientele was her co-workers, which made it more of an internal business.

She went from getting two to three orders occasionally to getting six to seven orders every week over time, and she currently receives between 30 to 70 limited orders per month.

She stated that starting a business is not just about income, as it involves way more than that – it requires integrity and a good image for the business.

“We can't keep everyone happy, but we do try by all means to find better solutions,” she added.

Andreas wanted to pack up on the entire business because she seldom had any clients – and in September 2022, she wanted to take down all the wigs that were on display because they had been there for two weeks straight without being sold.

However, after receiving some support from a close friend, and even though they had only about 300 followers at the time, she got up, prayed about it and started marketing.

She unexpectedly started receiving clients that same week.

They took two of everything apiece.

She sobbed, and continued pushing to this day.

Gerominia Mbuu is one of Andreas' clients, who seems to be quite satisfied with their services.

“I found them on Instagram not so long ago and ordered a wig with them. I was very pleased with my first purchase. So, I ordered again with them, and I tell you I don't regret it. The customer service is top-tier,” she exclaimed.

“One of our biggest plans involves hiring more staff, as all our wigs and closures are made from scratch, and we aim to maintain that. We hope to evolve into a manufacturing business that sells in bulk nationwide. Additionally, we are looking forward to opening a branch in Windhoek soon,” says the entrepreneur.

Customer feedback has always motivated the team, as they strive for quality over quantity.

Over the years, they have received very good feedback, based on quality and good customer service, according to Andreas, who also views constructive feedback as a stepping stone for improvement.

Synthetically Natural only works with quality, synthetic bundles; 100% human hair and a mixed blend of both.

Most significant, though, is that they are a manufacturing company, and they do not acquire and resell ready-made wigs, all of the wigs and closures are handmade from scratch.

They only purchase bundles.

“We keep it authentic by ventilating our closures and sewing the hair onto the wig caps. We give the clients a free platform on how they want their wig to be in terms of volume, length and closure size,” she continued.
