The National Traffic Information System (NaTIS) has extended its operating hours in Windhoek to provide services on Saturdays.

The offices were open last Saturday, 2 December, and will be open again tomorrow.

The NaTIS offices usually operate including Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 15h30. 

This extension was done as part of their decongestion strategy, and to offer value-added services to their customers. 

“The offices are congested during these festive times, which is why we decided to extend our operating hours to accommodate everyone,” said manager: corporate communications at NaTIS, Hileni Fillemon.

All services will be offered, just as on any regular operating day. However, the extension only applies to the Windhoek offices, as there is more pressure here, she said.

Fillemon stated that they will be having a NaTIS pop-up from 16 to 17 December at the Metro Centre in Kleine Kuppe, where some of their services will be offered to motorists, like vehicle licence renewals, vehicle deregistration, new and used vehicles’ registration as well as addressing other NaTIS enquiries.
