Julius ‘Blue Machine’ Indongo, who was scheduled to fight in Germany this weekend, will now fight in Russia on September 24.
Indongo is set to challenge the undefeated Russian boxer, Eduard Troyanovsky, for the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Junior Welterweight world title.
“The mega fight was originally billed for September 5 in Germany, but after negotiations between the two camps, the fight will now take place in Russia. Eduard is a world-class boxer and still undefeated after 22 fights. He is of Russian nationality, but is based in Germany. Julius is also undefeated, with a record of 17 fights and 17 wins, which will make the showdown even more interesting,” said promoter Nestor Tobias.
“We are happy with our preparations so far and it does not really matter where we fight or on what date. That’s why we agreed to the change of date and venue. The important thing is that Julius is in great shape. He is super fit and super focused on getting the job done on September 24.”
