The owner of a small fruit and vegetable outlet in Oshakati, Nazeema Brenner, on Friday opened the safe containing N$1 million during the first ever Woermann Brock N$1,000,000 Cash Give-Away ceremony. Each of the 10 finalists had to answer questions on what they would do with the money should they win. Dreams of furthering their children’s education, giving money to the elderly, buying land to build houses and taking a vacation were shared, but it was Brenner who randomly picked the right key to the safe containing the stash of money.
The 32-year-old mother of four said her dream of touring Israel will now materialise but first she will give her family a celebration party. She operated the small business for the last twelve years and now wants to extend it a little more with various other ideas she has in mind. Each of the 10 finalists received a set of keys but only one key could open the vault. The 37 branches of the Woermann Brock chain shops across the country have run the competition since last year November whereby N$150 or more spent earned a customer one entry into the draw. More than 400 000 entries were received. The 10 finalists each received a hamper and N$1 000.
