OSHAKATI-Indongo Itatu has donated goods worth N$ 1000 to the Frans Indongo Special Care Centre (FISCC) in Okandjengedi here.

They include daily necessities such as maize meal, mahangu, potatoes, sugar, rice, canned pilchard, juice, washing powder, body soap, snacks, toilet papers, tea bags, tomatoes and onions for the 22 children at the Centre.“It was real painful to see the kids suffering. I opened up my heart to help these kids. The donation won’t affect me or my life, I am a poor man with nothing, but I believe in giving and caring. God created me to take care of his people where I can,” says Itatu.

Itatu adds that he wanted to help the needy kids who are suffering and are living with disabilities. “The donation was given with an open heart and with no indirect benefit but to make a difference in kids’ lives. We can’t let our kids to suffer while we can help them with the little we can give. Let’s have hearts and value people lives,” he says. The founder of the Centre, Aili Shilongo, says it was a great honour for Itatu to support the Centre because the kids usually go to bed on empty stomachs when there are no donors.“I would like to urge our nation to help needy people countrywide where they can because tomorrow it will be you or your kid who will need assistance. Never let our people suffer and let’s make a difference in their lives by giving a little that we have,” Itatu says.
