Windhoek

Jannie Moolman and Corlea Botha, both very popular artists in the Afrikaans music industry in southern Africa, known for skilfully blending pop and opera music, are in Namibia this weekend.

If there is one genre of music that will always appeal to music lovers, it is a combination of light and opera music. Their newest musical debut, ‘Alle paaie lei na Rome’, (All roads lead to Rome) is a fantastic blend of well known favourite hits and new songs.

Both artists have achieved great success as solo singers and now Jannie and Corlea have teamed up for a remarkable duet. The title track, an excellent new composition by Johan Vorster, Ewald Coleske and Christoph Kotze, is already being touted as one of the largest hits on the Afrikaans music scene this year.

They kick off their Namibia tour on Friday in Windhoek, starting at the NG Kerk in Pionierspark, followed by an intimate show at Lapa Lange Lodge on Saturday in Mariental.
On July 13 Jannie and Corlea will captivate the audience at the coast in Walvis Bay, followed by their closing performance at the Theatre House in Tsumeb on July 16. Tickets are available at Computicket.
