Jarman ready to defend title

Home Sports Jarman ready to defend title

Windhoek

Namibia’s sensational World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan African Super Welterweight boxing champion Anthony Jarman is to make his first title defence when he climbs in the ring against challenger Nkululeko Mhlongo from South Africa.

The bout is slated for the Windhoek Country Club on November 18 and promises to produce fireworks.
Jarman boasts a remarkable record of 13 wins, one defeat and one draw from 15 bouts in the paid ranks. He defeated Christiano Ndombassy by a technical knockout (TKO) in May this year to claim the continental belt.

His opponent Mhlongo comes into the fight with 14 wins and 3 losses from the 17 bouts under his belt. Fight promoters Kinda Promotions are pleading for financial assistance or help in any other form to make the event a success.

Kinda Promotions applauded Namibia Breweries Ltd, a subsidiary of the O&L Group, through their new brand, King Lager (the first unmalted beer, proudly brewed with home-grown Namibian barley) in agreeing to sponsor part of the expenses for the upcoming bout.
