This annual concert takes place on Wednesday at 18h00 in the College of the Arts Concert Hall, it was announced in a press release. “Each year we choose our very best junior students to perform. Students have to pass a very rigorous audition to be accepted. This year’s concert will feature items for piano, guitar, violin, cello, recorder and flute. In addition, the concert features many ensembles, including piano duet, recorder duet, recorder and guitar duet, flute and cello duet and recorder quintet. A wide variety of composers, periods and styles is presented,” said Ashley Zolkov in a press release. According to Zolkov, a highlight of the concert will be a performance by the College of the Arts Children’s Choir conducted by Fanie Dorfling. Tickets costing N$5 for students, N$15 for adults and N$30 for families will be available at the door. The public is encouraged to support the young Namibian students to continue with their music education.
