WINDHOEK– Kamati, one of the promising Shambo and traditional music singer, recently released his second cultural studio album titled Elenga, under the Omalaeti Music Production.

His cultural project, consists of Shamboo, RnB and of course traditional contemporary tracks mixed into more modern sound and based on the culture and in the category of Namibian cultural root. Kamati came into the music industry way back in 2009, known as Omticks Bobolisha, before he was signed under Omaleti Music Production (OMP) in 2011. His name was then changed from Omticks Bobolisha to Kamati for his name to correspond with the music he is currently doing. His debut album Ekanda, was released in 2012 and consisted of his greatest cultural hits.

Elenga is a highly anticipated 18- track album, a fusion of music representing all Namibian traditions to literally put Namibia onto the international market and unite all ethnic groups through-out,and, to celebrate the Namibian ethnic cultures and traditions.

Kuku Nkandanga, Gwangodhi, Neslo, Promise, Tequila, Tate Buti, Maj Beats, Low Low, Omakanda, Omukalanyana, Monika, Dion and S-Mana features on the album. The album opens with Gwanandjoke featuring Namibian icon Kuku Nkandanga, followed by a remix of Aakwanangombe from his previous album. Track 4, Omalenga (Leaders) featuring Gwangodhi is a brilliant song dedicated to Namibian leaders. Another hit song on the album is Pombanda. Kamati tries to tell everyone that he wants to be on top and nothing will stop him. Ongoya winds up the album on a smooth African beat produced by V-lo and Gloh who oversaw the entire album’s mixing and mastering.

The album is more eclectic…something on it for everyone to relate to and the uniqueness of the genres blended together gives it a spectacular sound.
