The 7th edition of Katutura Fashion Week (KFW) was recently launched at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre in Windhoek, with the main runway events scheduled to take place from 20 to 22 November, at the same venue.

Founded in 2019, the fashion event has experienced significant growth.

The event now features all 14 regions of the country, and more people are gaining interest. The main event is anticipated to feature both local and international designers, a red-carpet experience, and live performances.

Speaking at the launch, Dennis Hendricks, Founder and Director of the fashion week, said the event has grown and includes fashion designers from other countries flying in to showcase their work.

“International designers from South Africa, Lesotho, Angola, Réunion, together with our local designers and students from Limkokwing University, will be participating this year. We look forward to a packed event, full of fashion and talent on the runway,” he said.

Over 50 designers will be showcasing, including many international designers.

Hendricks pre-empted this year’s event to be packed with creativity, full of diversity projected on the runway, and artists performing at the after-party.

“This year’s Katutura Fashion Week will be one to look out for, there will be immense creativity, diversity projected on the runway, and artists such as Oteya, Damara DikDing, and Proof Nana,” Hendricks concluded.
