Khomas and Angola’s Cunene enter twinning agreement

A cordial province-region working collaboration in the areas of agriculture, health, education and sanitation has been made possible by the recent agreement signed by Khomas regional governor, Laura McLeod-Katjirua and her Angolan counterpart, Cunene province governor, Gerdine Didalelwa.

The agreement was finalised following familiarisation visits to the Independence Memorial Museum in Windhoek, the Ongos Valley housing project in Havana, the University of Namibia’s School of Medicine, Havana High School, the Khomas Regional Council’s rural farmer, sanitation and water projects, Katutura Health Centre and numerous other locations.

High-level officials from both countries, including councilors, directors, administrators and others attended the signing ceremony in Windhoek.

McLeod-Katjirua and Didalelwa, signed the historic agreement to establish a friendly province-region working relationship after familiarisation visits to different projects in the Khomas region.
