Excitement is building as the Debmarine Premiership returns this weekend, with a lineup of thrilling matches scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at various venues across the country.

The top-tier football league action kicks off tomorrow as log leaders Khomas Nampol face Okahandja United at Unam Stadium. Simultaneously, at J. Stephanus Stadium, Young Brazilians will host the coastal outfit, Blue Waters, in what promises to be another crucial clash.

Mighty Gunners, on the other hand, will welcome Ongos FC at Mokati Stadium in Otjiwarongo. Over the weekend at the Oshakati Independence Stadium, Eeshoke Chula Chula will go head-to-head with Gobabis-based Young Africans. Life Fighters will then take on Tigers, also at Mokati Stadium.

Saturday’s action will see Unam take on Civics in another exciting fixture, while Okakarara Young Warriors are set to square off against Orlando Pirates at Omulunga Stadium. Julinho Sporting will face African Stars at Rundu Sports Field.

Speaking to this publication, Fortune Eichab, the head coach of Nampol, said his side is prepared for the crucial tie this weekend. He added that his side remains injury-free and will go into the weekend fixtures with a target of collecting maximum points.

“We know what lies ahead of us; it’s another weekend where we must try our level best and maintain the same good run. But we are now happy with what the guys have done so far this week at training, and we don’t have any injuries. So, we are hoping that we will go out there and collect maximum points,” he said.

On Sunday, the excitement continues as Nampol faces Blue Waters at Unam and Young Brazilians go up against Okahandja United at J. Stephanus. Chula Chula will play against Ongos in another thrilling encounter at the Oshakati Independence Stadium. Mighty Gunners will welcome Young Africans at Mokati Stadium, and Unam will square off against Tigers at Unam Stadium. Fighters will battle it out for maximum points against Civics, also at Mokati Stadium. Meanwhile, Julinho Sporting will take on Orlando Pirates at Rundu Sports Stadium, and Okakarara Young Warriors will host African Stars at Omulunga Stadium.
