Kimzala and Q Base release Sugar Daddy video

Home Lifestyle Kimzala and Q Base release Sugar Daddy video

New kids on the block Kimzala and Q Base released a new video, titled ‘Sugar Daddy’, in support with the ongoing surge in young women looking up to older men for financial gain. The video was shot with the sole purpose and aim to create awareness within our society/community for all the ongoing injustices people face and witness as a nation, as well as to speak up against gender-based violence.
The sugar daddy concept came about trying to educate young girls that having an affair with older men can lead to gender-based violence. The video has so far gathered over 33 000 views.

The duo is supported by Namjive, a local organisation that helps dancers, artists and local designers.
Speaking to Entertainment Now!, founder of Namjive Ricardo Xolani Kameeta said since the lockdown, he has been assisting the two artists in making sure they get the right exposure.
“So the message behind the video and song is to show the nation that it is not only about sugar daddys but also some young women who like money and how it is not good for their future,’’ he explained.

Kameeta, who also doubles as their agent, said he helped produce the track and storyline for the video.
His involvement also entails bringing about positive change in the youth.
“My involvement comes with edutainment, trying to educate our young women in high school to focus on their education to become something in life so that they, too, can help the nation. I want to see them become young professionals in life and become teachers, doctors, leaders and policewomen.”

He further urged everyone to believe in their dreams and never give up – and to always put God first, saying people should be the change they want to see in the world.
