WINDHOEK – The 2014 golfing year tees off with the Kit Group Federations Pairs at the Windhoek Golf and Country Club this coming weekend.
Southern Africa’s leading uniform specialists, The Kit Group, which is also one of the sponsors of MTN Golden Lions who will once again be competing in the Super Rugby competition, will for the first time sponsor the annual golfing event. Ernst Calitz, manager of the Kit Group in Namibia, confirmed during the sponsorship handover that the company will for the next three years sponsor the event and as such there will be, besides the numerous prizes for the different formats at stake, a lucky draw during the prize-giving ceremony on Sunday. Two lucky people stand a chance to go and watch the Super Rugby match between the Lions and Bulls at Ellispark in May later this year with all expenses covered.
The two-day competition gets underway on Saturday, with golfers teeing off in the betterball and foursomes on opening-day to be followed by the combined play on day-two. So far, a total of thirty teams from only the WGCC have entered, but many more from all over the country are expected to confirm participation.
