King Kauluma Palace Football Club (KK Palace FC) received two generous contributions this week from the Ondangwa Town Council and Star Comets Trading CC.
The club, currently leading the Namibia Premier Football League log standings, received N$350 000 from the Ondangwa Town Council on Tuesday and signed an agreement of Understanding aimed at developing sport while also promoting the town of Ondangwa.
The partnership between KK Palace FC and the council is valid for one year, subject to renewal if both parties see fit. As part of the agreement, Ondangwa Town Council will further procure promotional materials that will carry both brands.
Star Comets Trading CC provided N$50 000 towards KK Palace FC’s logistical needs for the season, marking another significant investment in the team’s development. Speaking at the handover, Star Comets Trading CC managing director Hasho Nambambi stated that they are inspired by KK Palace’s performance and feel honored to be associated with such an outstanding project.
Nambambi emphasised the company’s commitment to youth upliftment through education, sports, and culture. The sponsorship will support the club’s operational needs, equipment, and development programs to enhance performance both on and off the field.
KK Palace FC expressed sincere gratitude for the generous contribution, noting that the sponsorship will play a crucial role in advancing the team’s ambitions and improving opportunities for young players in the region.
KK Palace FC president, Frans Mbidi, expressed gratitude towards the donations, saying that “We are elated! Sponsorships of this magnitude are very rare and once received, they make a lot of difference in the budget of the team.”
