Manchester City Football Academy signed 14-year-old Namibian young footballer Forestar Rukeeveni Kuzatjike from West Bromwich Albion Academy.
The youngster, born in England to Namibian parents living there, plays either as number 10 and 11.
He started his football career at the ADS Grassroot Academy at the the age of seven.
Kuzatjike’s father Foreman Kuzatjike confirmed to New Era Sports that his son now plays for Manchester City’s U/15 and 16.
“This is a big step in my son’s career as Manchester City Academy is one of the biggest in the world and this showed that my boy is talented to have caught the attention of the big club like City. I am very happy for him and the future looks promising,” Fourman said.
He added that contract details cannot be disclosed as Forestar is U/16.
“He is a minor and he is part of the developmental project of the Manchester City and information pertaining to his contract will remain confidential at this stage,” said the father.
This publication asked the young sensational player on his feeling after being signed by City.
He said he is excited and happy to be part of the Man City Academy and looking forward to help the team do better and achieve its goals.
“I am also happy because Manchester City is a great club, and I like it here. It is an honour to represent them as a player. I have settled in quite well with teammates and staff,” said the youngster.
Forestar further thank his parents for being there for him in his football career.
“My parents are my guides and they are very supportive. They are always encouraging me to balance both my education and football career,” he said, adding that his mother Lorna Kuzatjike is more responsible for his school work whereas football is in the hands of his father.
Although, he is eligible to play for England, his long term goal is to play for Namibia’s national team.
His father Foreman played for Hotflames FC in the then first division back in 2002 in Namibia.
