Kwaito Lager puts final touches on new EP

Zambezi artist Given Chilinda, also known as Kwaito Lager, is preparing to unveil his second extended play (EP), titled ‘Give Me the Keys’.

This follows the release of his latest music video for 2024, which shares the same name.

With a decade of experience in the music industry, during which he has produced six albums and one EP, Chilinda reflected on his lifelong connection to music.

“I began to take music seriously at a young age, and have continuously evolved as an artist throughout the years. My dedication to creating music remains as fervent as ever,” he stated.

He finds inspiration in a diverse array of artists and musical styles, holding a particular admiration for those who remain authentic to their origins while exploring innovative sounds.

“My childhood was filled with local music, which significantly shaped my artistic expression. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with numerous talented musicians, producers and partners, both locally and globally. My aim is to craft music that resonates deeply with listeners and fosters an emotional connection,” he noted.

His upcoming EP, scheduled for release early next year, features collaborations with producers such as Tallyboy, Foqus from Champions League and DJ Vuyo.

“I am genuinely enthusiastic about this project, as it embodies the growth and transformation of my musical style. I have dedicated considerable time and effort to ensure it is something my fans will cherish. Additionally, I have recently launched two new music videos, which are available on my YouTube channel,” he elaborated.

He also mentioned that he has several other projects in progress, including additional music videos, live performances and collaborations.

“My objective is to continually push the boundaries of my music and visuals while remaining faithful to the style and essence that my audience appreciates,” he remarked.

He expressed gratitude for the support he has received over the years, and is committed to continuous improvement as an artist.

“My journey in music has been full of learning and growth, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. I believe in the power of music to inspire and connect people, and that’s what drives me to keep creating. Stay tuned for more updates. Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far,” he said.
