Ladies Indoor Volleyball League starts on high note

Home Sports Ladies Indoor Volleyball League starts on high note

WINDHOEK – The Bank Windhoek National Volleyball Ladies League commenced recently with Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club (KNVC) setting the pace for exciting action this season.

The ladies in uniform won both their matches in straight sets against Revivals Volleyball Club (RVC) and Polytechnic of Namibia respectively, while DTS also started the season with an impressive 3:0 win over Polytechnic only to lose in straight sets against RVC. In last weekend’s action, DTS played with renewed energy that can be attributed to their newly appointed coach, Styx. However, their energy was not enough to negotiate their way past the strong SKW outfit. The University of Namibia (Unam) ladies gave it their best shot, but eventually bowed out to SKW.

It was apparent that some teams were still warming up and coming back into their normal game. The big game was between KNVC and Unam, who played a very tight four set game. KNVC took the win with the crowd cheering them on loudly. All matches provided spectacular action, while the stands were packed to the rafters from the first game till the last. The results forecast a very exciting season for Namibian Indoor Volleyball.
