The opportunity to do Christmas shopping in a spacious, homely and customer friendly atmosphere, while enjoying a free concert by the popular COTA Youth Choir, is what the Auas Valley Mall will offer shoppers next Tuesday evening
All the stores in the mall will stay open until 21:00 on the day and will offer lots of specials that will only be available from 17:00 until 21:00.
Santa will hand out prizes to lucky winners and pose for pictures with the little ones, while Santa’s helpers will be available in the mall to attend to any special requests of shoppers.
The mall, which offers plenty of free parking, has become a popular destination for shoppers who prefer to do their shopping in a less congested environment. The majority of the stores in the mall are Namibian businesses.
Agra offers all that the farmer and gardener need and both Agra and Pick n Pay Namibia take care of one’s grocery needs, while well-known Namibian outlets such as Nictus and Safari Den provide all the requirements for furnishing a house or enjoying an outdoor holiday.
There is the Auas Valley Pharmacy and Auas Vet Med for medicine and health products for man and animal’s well-being and an optometrist is available to tend to one’s eye care.
Jonno’s Bistro is a sociable restaurant with an exceptional menu, while the popular Steers, Debonairs and Fish Aways offer takeaway food. The well-known Wiesenhof Coffee Shop forms part of Pick n Pay.
Various smaller retailers offer baking and party necessities, clothing, jewellery, accessories, electronics and toys while two hairdressers and a tattoo parlour take care of individual style.
Certain businesses will use the opportunity to exhibit products, such as the Safari Guns store, which is part of Agra Arms, Ammunition and Outdoor, which will have a stand in the basement parking to showcase their new range of Klarus torches, described as some of the most exciting, practical and innovative LED torches on the planet with ultra-high lumen output.
To add to the proudly Namibian approach, the mall management decided to host the COTA Youth Choir, a dynamic group of young singers from Windhoek and surrounding areas under the leadership of the talented Fanie Dorfling. The choir’s repertoire includes western, classical and African music.
Some of the most recent highlights of the choir include three gold medals they received in the Championship for Scenic Folklore, Musica Sacra and Spiritual categories and one silver medal in the Mixed Youth Choir category at the World Choir Games in June 2014 in Riga, Latvia. Before the games they also performed in Bulgaria and Sweden.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to hear their music while shopping or taking a pause between visits to the various shops. Their CDs will be on sale.
The mall has a very hands-on, customer-oriented approach with mall manager, Tiaan Nel, always visible or a phone call away. This is also what the mall plans to offer clients throughout the festive season. The late night shopping next Tuesday is planned as a launch for the pre-holidays shopping period.
