Home Time Out Laukey to launch second album

Windhoek

Young and talented local musician, Kondja Lungameni, popularly known as Laukey is launching his much anticipated second album Time Of Going Out (TOGO) in Gobabis at the end of this month.

Laukey says this is for all ages containing different genres such as Hip-Hop, Kwaito and Reggae. Currently signed under Optimistic Media Group (OMG), his songs and video songs have been featuring on numerous local stations’ music programmes, reaching the number one spot in both categories of song and video song.

He says his music career is growing fast with his first album, Madagascar, an eye-opener to the music industry with no intention to quit the industry anytime soon as nomination for his first album in the Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) showed him that his music is being appreciated and worth listening to.

His new single Embako, has been making its mark on radio stations and social networks. “The song has been on number one spot at the Radio Energy 100FM, Kwaito Countdown competition for almost three weeks,” says Laukey. Currently, he is busy shooting a music video for the song Embako to be released at the end of the month. On his upcoming album, Laukey is featuring fewer artists compared to the previous album. They are Berthold, Jericho, Jay K, Little Eddie and Staxx. His album is produced by Staxx, Mr Blos, Sixxa and Momento.
