Home Time Out Laukey releases first album

WINDHOEK- Hip Hop and Kwaito artist from Gobabis as his hometown, Kondja Lungameni ,known as Laukey, has  released his first album,  Mada-Gascar.

The 13 tracks on the album are  Jerusalem, I Try ft Vicky, Mbafwetu  ft Guilty Crew,  Kunda, Better Days ft Monique, Party like a Damara  ft Marsa and A flow, Letter to the future ft D-jay,   Natango ft Jay K, She Know, Dai Meisiekind,  Telela ft Alia,  I made it and  Talane. “Kaunda is my favourite song and I dedicate it to those that lost their loved ones. Letter to the future is encouraging the youth to picture how Namibia should be in the future,” says Laukey.

Most of the songs have been produced and recoded by Bloskid of Optimistic Media Group. The songs are being aired on different radio stations and two of them  featured on the local Kwaito Top 10.  According to Laukey,  Mada-Gascar means  ‘’Mada’’ mother and ‘’Gascar’’ the scar that has a shape of Africa, which is close to his heart.  The album is named Mada-Gascar due to the love of his country Namibia, and the scar which is close to his heart.

He had his first CD launch in Gobabis, which was a success and the next one is expected to be in Windhoek early October, he says. “Natango ft Dj Kay has a video that has been on the YO music countdown for more than two months, and I am determined to shoot music videos for all the songs on the album,” promises Laukey.
