Mobile telecommunications company MTC will next year host a two-day conference titled ‘Make the Connection Leadership’ that will feature the popular American TV evangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes.
The conference will take place on April 12 and 13, 2016 at Safari Hotel. The chief human capital & corporate affairs officer at MTC, Tim Ekandjo, said it would be an honour to host Jakes “and allow Namibians to benefit from his wisdom in the field of leadership”.
“We will have two sessions on 12th April. The first leadership session is dedicated to persons in the corporate world and will start at 09h00. The second session will start at 19h00 in the evening and will be a spiritual leadership/worship session for all interested persons from different denominations and walks of life. On 13th April, we will have the last leadership session at 09h00. The venue can unfortunately only accommodate 2 000 persons maximum per session and we therefore encourage members of the public to buy their tickets right away because we expect an incredibly high demand for these sessions, not only from Namibians but from people in neighbouring countries as well.

“This is definitely not the type of leadership conference where you wait to buy your ticket at the last minute. Tickets are on sale at Computicket countrywide and a ticket per session is N$1 000. Each leadership session will be for the duration of two hours.”
“This leadership conference should appeal to everybody, whether you are in business, an entrepreneur, spiritual leader or just an aspiring Namibian because effective leadership enables us all to move this nation forward to prosperity amidst all the challenges we are faced with. We therefore encourage everybody to secure a ticket.”
Jakes is a charismatic leader, visionary, provocative thinker, and entrepreneur who serves as senior pastor of The Potter’s House, a global humanitarian organization and 30 000-member church located in Dallas.
Named ‘America’s Best Preacher’ by Time Magazine and CNN, Jakes’ voice reverberates from the world’s most prominent stages.
Beyond the pulpit, Jakes is the recipient of numerous humanitarian awards. His worldwide impact is also felt through high profile conference series such as MegaFest which recently drew more than 75 000 participants, and is the founder the T.D. Jakes School of Leadership.
His communications empire spans film, television, radio, best-selling books, including ‘Heaven is for Real’ and the latest # 1 New York Times Bestseller ‘Instinct’.
