Learners of the Moses Garoëb Project School, have expressed their appreciation for Namibia Dairies for its generosity to the school.
“It is a great honour to have people like you in our beautiful Namibia that takes it to heart to give to the needy children. We do not have silver or gold to give you but what we will give you will be our blessings. May God bless you richly, said Frans Kambongi, a Grade 3 learner, on behalf of his fellow learners. The Namibia Dairies recently brought smiles to the faces of 1200 children of the school in the Havanna informal settlement of Katutura. It provided the children each with a glass of quality Farm Fresh Longlife milk and also pledged to continue doing so.
The commitment was made in celebration of milk month celebrated globally during June. “We care for our children who are the future leaders and actively living and supporting our purpose of creating a future, enhancing life. We are committed to a healthy, happy life for our children, the youth and the greater society. Our Nammilk Farm Fresh “Local Goodness” gives the benefits of good nutrition and we believe our support can make a difference in these children’s lives,” Gunther Ling, Managing Director of Namibia Dairies said. The Principal of the Moses Garoëb Project School, Flora Petrus, expressed gratitude towards Namibia Dairies for the kind gesture. “The Moses Garoëb Project School has and continues to enjoy a longstanding, fruitful relationship with the O&L Group. We believe that with more corporates on board like the O&L Group, we can create a bright future for every Namibian child,” said Petrus.
Ling was joined by his senior management team who spent time with the little ones by filling their cups with Nammilk while being entertained with the joyous children’s stories of the origin of milk. As part of Namibia Dairies commitment to health and education, he invited the learners to do an artwork exercise that tells the story of where milk comes from.
