The first of its kind, Dr Netumbo Nandi- Ndaitwah Annual Boxing Bonanza is slated for 20 December in the Ohangwena region at the Helao Nafidi Business Expo Hall. 

Tickets for the event are available via Webticket or at the Model store. MTC’s John Ekongo stated that Namibia is strategic about economic development, and are intentional in supporting projects in boxing and sports. 

“It provides opportunities for young people to succeed. Our goal is to improve livelihoods and support the youth,” he said. 

One of the boxers competing, Walter Kautondokwa, expressed his happiness with the opportunity and cannot wait to step into the ring to make the nation proud. 

Another boxer, Nathanael ‘Natty’ Kakololo, thanked the main sponsor, MTC, for the opportunity and mentioned that the fact that the event is headed to the north means his fans and family now have a chance to see him and others compete. 

The chairman of the MTC Salute Boxing Academy, Kiriata Kamanya, said the event is dedicated to the President, who is a passionate supporter of sport and youth empowerment. He urged boxing fans to buy tickets and fill the venue.
