WINDHOEK – All roads lead to the usually sleepy town of Omaruru in the Erongo Region this weekend for the maiden edition of the newly introduced annual Erongo Powersave 1.6 kilometer Street Mile Run on Saturday.
With lucrative prizes at stake, Namibia’s leading middle distance road runners are expected to flock en masse to Omaruru to test their strength against each other while also seeking to sharpen their fitness levels ahead of upcoming major events.
The race in the different age categories starts at 08h00 sharp with cut off time set for 13h00 to be followed by the prize-giving ceremony at 13h30.
