WINDHOEK-Namibian Kwaito star, Nalimaanguluke Ndengu aka Makhazola will soon drop his fifth solo album titled, Evugu.
Makhazola says he has been working on this massive project for two years now and he will drop his album this April because of public demand. “Evugu means I have passed through the desert. It’s more like a life challenge but I have made it to the top when it comes to the music,” says Makhazola. Makhazola has a single out for the next album titled,Umpeke, which means Watch Out and currently it is enjoying massive airplays on local radio stations. The song is featuring South African Kwaito and House legend Ninja. Umpeke is in the top Kwaito chart of Energy 100 FM and has been running at number one for three consecutive weeks.
His upcoming album includes a mixture of classic Kwaito, Techno, Classic Rock, House African and a bit touch of Soukes. “You will dance with Ginosko (revelation knowledge), a revelation knowledge, as you dance to the music,” he says.
The album was produced by Momento, Nell-d and Makhazola himself and mastered by K-Boz and Elvo. It features Omzoo, Kafaule Kanembwaya and Ninja. Songs are also in diverse languages like English, Oshiwambo, Isizulu, a bit of Afrikaans and Damara Nama. “The album will be more commercial, and danceable. The main message on this album is just to let everyone know that I am back for good,” he says.
Evugu is produced under the entertainment trademark titled Ontsumuka Flourishing Entertainment (OFE). This December Makhazola he will again launch a pop album, titled Oniipa California featuring Headache. The album is dedicated to his home town Oniipa. “To my fans am not dead, I am alive and getting ready for the album. To my fellow musician let’s work together, to everybody out there, this is the land of the brave, if you’re not brave, you better behave. God bless Namibia,” he says.
