ONGWEDIVA – A 23-year-old man was allegedly stabbed and hacked to death with a panga by a couple at Oshuunga village in Oshana region on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was a domestic worker at Oshuunga village.

Two suspects have been arrested for the murder.  The male suspect (38) has been arrested and is currently admitted at the Onandjokwe Intermediate Hospital with multiple injuries.
He is reported to be in a stable condition.

The female suspect (38) is detained at Ondangwa police holding cells, Oshana police spokesperson warrant Frieda Shikole said. According to Shikole, the three were involved in a heated argument before the attack.
The trio allegedly got into a verbal fight but the people in the vicinity at the Kakalukambe shebeen where the altercation took place subdued the fight.

“Thereafter, the male suspect allegedly went to report the matter to his employer. The deceased followed the male suspect and they met in a crop field where the fight broke out,” said Shikole.
At this stage, it is not known what they were fighting about.
It is further alleged that two pangas, a kitchen knife and empty beer bottles are alleged to have been used in the fight.
The murder weapons have been recovered.
