Man shoots wife, commits suicide

Home Crime and Courts Man shoots wife, commits suicide

A Rehoboth man yesterday critically injured his wife after shooting her in the head before killing himself.
The 38-year-old woman was transported to a Windhoek hospital in a critical condition after her husband attempted to kill her in the early hours of yesterday at Rehoboth’s Block F.

It is alleged the victim was shot following an argument with the 47-year-old deceased.
Confirming the shooting, crime investigations coordinator for the Hardap region, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay, said after shooting his wife, the husband took his own life by shooting himself in the head.

“The husband died on the spot and the wife was transferred to Windhoek under critical condition,” said Clay. The police are yet to find out what the argument was about as they continue with investigations.
