Meatco has confirmed the appointment of Ingo Schneider as chief financial officer, effective July 1. In his new position, Ingo’s focus areas include finance and information technology. He is a member of Meatco’s management team and reports directly to chief executive officer Vekuii Rukoro.

Married and with two children, Ingo is a qualified chartered accountant who recently completed an Executive MBA from the University of Cape Town. He began his professional career at Deloitte and Touche where he completed his articles and later qualified as chartered accountant in both Namibia and South Africa. Via the internal Deloitte network, Ingo was sent to Luxembourg where he was involved in a number of IT system reviews and obtained the qualification as certified systems auditor.

He then left to join the RTL Group in its fledgling internal audit division to develop and implement a risk-based internal audit review process. He returned to Namibia to join the CIH Group as the head of internal audit and thereafter moved to assist the group in a specialised financial service division, which consults with both internal and external clients on specialised financial matters.
After seven years with the CIH Group he joined Nedbank, which he left in 2016 to start his own business venture prior to joining the Meat Corporation of Namibia.
