The 2016 Project Management Review (PMR) Africa Awards ceremony was held on Monday at Safari Court Hotel and Casino in Windhoek. The purpose of the PMR awards is to create a global and unique marketing tool for companies, departments or institutions.
The awards enhance excellence in a specific industry and set a benchmark as well as create opportunities for companies and institutions.
Meatco was among the companies that were recognised for their hard work in which the company won three Diamond Arrow awards, after being ranked first overall and rated at 4.15 out of 5.00 in 2015.
The Overall Outstanding 1st Diamond Arrow awards were received for Agriculture: Abattoirs Diamond Outstanding; Agriculture: Livestock Diamond Outstanding; and Meat Processing Companies.
In 2015, Meatco won two awards in the category Overall Golden Arrow Excellence, as well as one Golden Arrow Excellence award. The awards obtained this year are an indication of the company’s continued dedication and hard work as a leading economic contributor to the economy.
“These awards are a confirmation of the appreciation from the market in terms of Meatco’s contribution; they confirm that we are highly regarded in the product and service we deliver. I am very happy for receiving all three diamond awards on behalf of Meatco,” said Meatco’s Executive: Human Resources, Stanley Hoveka-Mbura.
The awards took place following a national survey conducted by the research consultancy firm, PMR Africa. The awards follow a research process where companies are rated based on perceptions of the respective company, its processes, leadership, competitiveness, effectiveness, excellence, customer service and levels of satisfaction.
