A mentally ill man is alleged to have stabbed his brother to death at a location in Enongo village in the Otamanzi constituency of Omusati.
The deceased is alleged to have been stabbed four times, twice on the back, once in the abdomen and in the chest, Omusati police chief, Commissioner Titus Shikongo said.
Shikongo said an argument between the two turned into a physical fight whilst they were socialising at the said location.
“In the process, the elder brother who is alleged to be mentally unstable drew the knife and stabbed the deceased four times,” said Shikongo.
An Okapi knife, which was allegedly used to stab the deceased, has been recovered.
He said what triggered the argument is yet to be established.
The deceased was identified as Shefanya Dominika Tiliindye (26).
His next of kin has been informed.
The suspect (27) has been arrested and is expected to appear in court this week.
